Jemima is a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music, and studied at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Jeremy Young, receiving masterclasses and tuition from some of the world’s most renowned pianists. She has performed in venues with a variety of orchestras and ensembles including the Royal Albert Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall and the Bridgewater Hall. Recent concerto repertoire includes Saint-Saen’s 2nd piano concerto in G minor, Gershwin’s Rhapsody In Blue and Beethoven’s 3rd piano concerto.
With her duo partner (flautist Rachel Johnson), Jemima regularly performs in venues including many of the UK’s cathedrals and St-Martin-in-the-Fields. She has also worked alongside the BBC as a piano-playing hand double on shows including Our Zoo and Doctors. On top of being an active performer, accompanist and orchestral musician, Jemima is a sought after teacher, and on top of her busy schedule of private students and schools, has also worked freelance alongside the North West Music Trust, Aimhigher Greater Manchester , Piccadilly Symphony Orchestra and Ashton Youth Offending Centre to bring music workshops to people from all walks of life in the Greater Manchester area.
Jemima holds the ABRSM Certificate of Teaching and dipABRSM in piano teaching, is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians and is fully CRB cleared.
